Announcing our Grand Opening!

Well, it has been something of a whirlwind six months for us, turning this idea of a bookmobile into a full-blown job, all the while working full-time at our respective places of employment.  But our good work is starting to pay off.  While we are still contemplating our truck’s design, we are just about ready to open up for business.  By Friday, February 15th, we had better be completely ready, because that is the day that we will be having our GRAND OPENING!

Through their Friday Food Truck Meetups, the H-E-B Montrose Market has generously afforded us the opportunity to formally introduce ourselves to the community by parking alongside some of the best food trucks in Houston.  We’re really looking forward to it, and we hope that you are too!

  • When: Friday, February 15th, 5:30 pm – 9 pm
  • Where: H-E-B Montrose Market, 1701 W. Alabama St, Houston, TX 77098 (see/click map below)

For those of you who were wanting to donate items to our collection, this will be a perfect opportunity to do so.  We’ll have donation receipts on hand.

We’re actively looking for other places to park, and hopefully we can ease into something of a regular schedule that spans Montrose, the Heights, the Museum District, and the Outer Loop (We’re looking at you, The Shack).  But for now, you can keep up with our Facebook, Twitter, and/or Upcoming Events pages to get the scoop on where we’ll be and when.  If you’d like to park with us, have us park at your establishment, use our space, or work with us in some way, feel free to shoot us an email at theBPTL[at]gmail[dot]com.
